Chris Knierim is the CEO of the Building Designers Association of Australia (BDAA) & The Australian Building Sustainability Association (ABSA). Chris is also the Chair of the Australian Design Alliance (AdA) and sits on many other government committees both on the Steering Co with the NSW Building Commissioner and also the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB).
Chris is an international award winning designer and builder and has worked around the world designing and constructing a broad range of specialist buildings for numerous high-profile clients.
Chris' work has been featured on numerous internationally-broadcast TV shows, including Grand Designs Australia, Chris is also a Feature writer for Grand Designs magazine.
Chris is the recipient of over 50 design and construction awards. Some of these awards include The Australian Design Excellence Award; Australian GreenSmart Home of the Year; Master Builders National Energy Efficiency Project of the Year, Housing Industry Associations Australian Custom Built Home of the Year; Australian Sustainable Dwelling of the Year. International awards include Landscape planning & Garden Design; interior Spaces and Architectural Building & Design.
