Hello Members My name is David Di Biase, I am a recent Cert IV in Residential Drafting graduate and currently undertaking a Diploma in Building Design through TAFE. I am looking for casual sub-contract drafting work to build on my drafting experience. I have a Bachelor of Building degree, a NSW Builder's Licence, and have over 30 years Local Government project and facilities management experience. New houses and units built in Queensland now need to meet the National Construction Code (NCC) 2022 Modern Homes standards for residential energy efficiency. This is the first time in more than a decade that the NCC’s residential energy efficiency standards have been changed, and these updates will help to enhance the comfort of new homes for Queenslanders. Hello members, I have completed the Cert 4 in Residential Drafting and currently undertaking the Diploma in Building Design. I am seeking to find some drafting work whether it be drawing or other admin roles. Where I live (Coffs Harbour) I am finding it hard to find anyone to gain work experience with and learn from as most people work for themselves and don't have the time to teach or need to employ anyone else. Building surveyors are obliged to comply with the notification requirement to assist the VBA with action aimed at improving builder compliance.
